1. Easter Egg Hunt for all kindergartens is scheduled on 4/9. We would like to ask kindergarten families for donation of Easter candies in the original bag or small gift items for this event. There will be a drop box next to the snack shop for the donation in the cafeteria. Thank you.

Ingredients: Wheat Flour, Sugar, Soybean Oil, Invert Syrup, Calcium Carbonate, Salt, Baking Soda (Leavening), Soy Lecithin (anEmulsifier), Natural Flavor, Spices (Nutmeg and Mace).

1. The Bilingual Program recitation will be held this Sunday 3/26. All bilingual classes (from BPK1 to B6) will participate. Each participant will receive a goody bag!

 

2. 4/9: Easter Egg Hunt for all kindergartners including students in BPK1, BPK2, BK1, BK2, BK3.  We would like to ask kindergarten families to donate Easter candies or small gift items (unopened and un-expired items).  There is a drop box in the Cafeteria near the snack table for you to place your donations.  Thank you!

1. LCS students are invited to submit up to 2 pieces (brush painting or calligraphy) to the 26th Annual All-American Chinese Brush Painting and Calligraphy Competition.   See below for more information:

For students in our Chinese Painting class, you will be working on this over the coming weeks.  As entries must be submitted by April 15, we will collect your work on April 9 and hand-deliver your entries.  Please make sure your entries are properly labeled with name (Chinese and English), date of birth, age group, telephone, e-mail, and LCS affiliation.  The entries will be returned with no extra charge.

1. We will have a spring jumble sale. Please bring in your excellent condition used stuff (clothes, books, bikes/rollerblades, video game...) that you do not need anymore and donate to our school on 3/26, 4/2. Thanks!

Please refer to the parent duty list in the Newsletter for your duty dates.  If you are not sure of your parent duty date, please ask the Executive Secretary. On your parent duty day, please report to the Executive Secretary in the cafeteria by 1:55 to get your duty assignment. 

 

If a conflict arises and you are unable to report for duty, please call us at least three days in advance so that we can change your duty date.  If you do not report for duty and have not made prior arrangements with the school in advance, you will forfeit your parent duty deposit.  Thank you for your cooperation.

1. Upcoming Seminar –

Pediatric Myopia Prevention by Dr. Huichu Julia Chang, OD, PhD

2:30 - 3:30 PM on 3/26, in the Litter Theater Room 123

 

Dr. Chang will be presenting a seminar at the LCS on March 26th at 2:30pm about the current research and approaches of how to prevent myopia progression for school-aged children.  Dr. Chang has been practicing in Boston area for many years, and she is a LCS parent as well.
