每名學生語言班學費為全學年一次繳清$270，一般課外活動費為全年$120，武術，國樂，吉他班課外活動費為全年$180， 民俗手工藝，小小創作，幼兒親子美術，初級繪畫，中級繪畫，書法國畫班加收材料費$10，材料費不退費，七月三十一日以前註冊者，語言班學費每名學生可減免$10。 若於開學以後註冊者，上課時數不足一學期，以每月學費$27計算，每月課外活動費$12計算，武術，國樂，吉他班 $18 計算。

The tuition for language class is $270 per student per year.  The extracurricular activity fee is $120 per student, except the Martial Arts, Chinese Instruments, and Guitar classes are $180 per student per year.  There is $10 non-refundable material fee for Folk Art, Junior Painting, Beginner Painting, Intermediate Painting, Calligraphy Painting, and Junior Creativity.  There is a $10 discount for each student registering in language class before July 31, 2005.  For walk-in students registering after school starts, the tuition is $27 per month for language classes, $18 per month for Martial Arts, Chinese Instruments, and Guitar classes, and $12 per month for other extracurricular classes.
 

本校語言文化教學分中學，小學，雙語班，幼稚園。 幼稚園分大，中及小班。  小學部份從一到六年級，中學部由七到九年級畢業，高中部十年級以上視為進修班，雙語班以級數分班，分雙語一到六級，雙語成人班: 滿八人即開班。  除雙語班以英文輔助教學外，其他各班完全以中文教學。  本校以正體字及注音法教學。  雙語班招收對象以家庭背景不說中文或完全沒有中文基礎的學生，在學期中學生若經任教老師同意，可轉入適合之一般語文課年級。  課外活動為選修，按活動性質分為民俗藝術，美術，體育，音樂，益智及健身。

We offer advanced (grades 10 or above), junior high (grades 7-9), elementary (grades 1-6), kindergarten (levels 1-3) and bilingual (levels 1-6 and adult) Chinese language programs.  All classes are conducted in Mandarin Chinese except bilingual, which also uses English.  We teach traditional Chinese characters and the Chinese phonetic alphabet, Zhu Ying Fu Hao (or ㄅㄆㄇㄈ...).  We offer bilingual classes for students whose primary language is not Mandarin Chinese or for students who do not have at least one Mandrin-speaking parent.  Bilingual students may transfer to appropriate regular language class if the teacher agrees.  Extracurricular activity is optional and includes folk arts/crafts, arts, sports, music, abacus, brain games and fitness.
 

語言班幼稚園除了小班每班不超過十二人，中班 及大班不超十五人為原則；小學部及中學部以一班不超過十八人為原則；雙語班除第一級班不超過十二人，第二級班不超過十五人，其他各班以每班不超過十八人為原則；每班皆以不足八人則不開班為原則。  課外活動人數限制請參考課外活動表。

The maximum class size for different classes is listed below.  The class will be cancelled if there are less than 8 students in the class.  The class size for extracurricular activities varies form program to program.  Please refer to the list of Student Extracurricular Programs for more details.
     Kindergarten 1 (K1):  12 students
     Kindergarten 2 (K2), 3 (K3) : 15 students
     Bilingual 1 (B1): 12 students
     Bilingual 2 (B2): 15 students
     All others: 18 students
 

以八月三十一日為準， 須達到年齡標準才可報名以下各班: 幼稚園滿三歲報名小班，四歲中班，五歲大班。  雙語班滿四歲報名第一級，滿六歲報名第二級，滿八歲報名第三級，或依程度由老師決定適合的年齡。  課外活動班另有年齡限制，請參考課外活動附表。

A student in any of the classes must be at least the given age by August 31, 2004 to register for that class.  Extracurricular classes have different age requirements.  Please refer to the list of Student Extracurricular Programs for more details.
     Kindergarten 1 (K1): 3 years old
     Kindergarten 2 (K2): 4 years old
     Kindergarten 3 (K3): 5 years old
     Bilingual 1 (B1)       : 4 years old
     Bilingual 2 (B2)       : 6 years old or teacher's approval
     Bilingual 3 (B3)       : 8 years old or teacher's approval
 

報名單及老師名單將於五月一日與 "每週通訊" 發給家長。五月十五日下午二時起在家長休息室接受報名。  每人僅限一家報名 ，報名時請家長按先後順序排隊等候報名並填妥報名表及支票。  自五月十六日起接受通訊報名。  本校現任專任教師，家長代表及校務人員可於五月十五日前為其子女先報名。  開學日當天起，本校接受臨時報名。

The registration form and the teacher list will be sent home with the school weekly news on May 1.  The registration starts at 2:00 pm on May 15 in the school cafeteria.  A parent or head of the household may register for his/her family members in person or mail the registration form and the checks to the Director of Registration.  The school will accept mail registration starting May 16.  Telephone registration will not be accepted.  Walk-in registrations will be accepted from the first day of school.  The current teachers, parent representatives, and school administrators may register their family prior to May 16.
 

註冊主任按班級人數限制，報名先後順序及學生志願分發班級。  每班前十二名者可按報名志願分班。  班級人數的控制，以同年級班與班之間不相差超過三人為原則，若差至四人以上者，學校將從第十三名以後報名的學生，按報名順序斟酌調整班級人數。  插班學生以分發至班級人數最少的班為原則。

The director of registration will place the first 12 students on a first come first serve basis to their first choice in each class.  However, we like to balance the class size within the same grade of level.  After the first 12 students, we reserve the right to place students in the smaller size classes.  Late registering and transfer students will be placed in the class with the fewest number of students.
 

子女減免: 同一家庭在本校就讀的第三名子女全學年學費可減免$10，第四名起學費全免。  配偶減免: 同一家庭在本校就讀的配偶全學年可減免$10。  清寒家庭出具證明得減免學費。

If you have three or more children enrolled in our school, the third child will receive a $10 discount, and the tuition is free for the fourth and subsequent child.  If both you and your spouse enroll in our school for Adult bilingual class, the second adult will receive a $10 discount.  Financial assistance is also available for those who need it.
 

退費請參考下列退費表。  語言課退費需扣除早註冊$10減免及配偶或子女$10減免。  開學後註冊者，退費均依照此表退費，10月15日以後將不于退費。

Please refer to the table below for you full or partial refund.  The refunds will be reduced by the amount of any discounts that were received ($10 discount for early registration by 7/31) and $10 for the third child of the family and/or family member.)  There will be no refund after 10/15 unless there are special circumstance, in which case administration approval is required.

學生轉班須有正當理由及視欲轉去的班級有無名 額。  語文班及課外活動班轉班須徵得現任班級老師，欲轉去班級老師的同意，並且經過校長，註冊及相關的主任審核通過後始可轉班。  轉班必須在開學後一個月內完成。

Students need an adequate reason to request a transfer between classes.  The request will be granted only if the class that the student is transferring to doesn't exceed its class size and the school administrators agree with the reason.
 

曾在它校就讀或自學的學生，經過入學測試，由教務主任同意後，安插到合適的年級，班級則依上訴第七項 "班級分發" 規定辦理。

Any student transferring form another Chinese school or who has been home schooled in Chinese will be placed into the appropriate grade after an enrollment test and with the permission of the LCS Teaching Director.  For class placement, please refer to #7 above.
 

除教師，家長代表及校務人員外，家長須義務值勤。 值勤項目視家長意願，專長及校務需要而定。 若家長因故無法值勤，可在報名單上註明，並繳值勤費全學年 $40。 註冊時需繳交未附日期的家長值勤保證金支票$45，待履行值日義務後，原支票將退還給家長。凡不事先通知也不按時履行值日義務者，除需繳于學校$40家長值勤費外，另須繳$5手續費，因此$45值勤保證金支票將不于退還。值日日期將會在分班通知及每週通訊上告知。凡值勤日遲到15分鐘以上者，須另改日期值日。 請家長註冊時記得帶支票本，並分別開兩張支票: 一張為學費，另一張為值勤保證金。

All parents are required to perform parent duty twice each school year, except the school teachers, parent representatives, school administrators, and their spouses. The specific duty which parents will perform depends on their interest, willingness, and expertise, as well as school needs. If the parent is unable to perform parent duty, please specify this on the registration form and pay the duty fee of $40. For parents who intend to perform the duty during the school year, please write an undated check of $45 ($4- duty fee and $5 processing fee) to the school as a security deposit. After the second duty has been fulfilled, the school will return your check back to you. If the parent doesn't fulfill his/her duty on the designated date without notifying the school, the school will cash the deposit check. The school will assign your parent duty dates with your child's class placement information. Parents may also check the school weekly news for you parent duty. If you are late for your duty by 15 minutes, we will assign you to another duty date. This parent duty fee or deposit check should be a separate check from the tuition. Please bring two checks when you're registering: one for tuition, one for parent duty fee or deposit.
